About this policy
This policy covers CrewX, including the CrewX: Agents & Team apps for iOS and Android. CrewX is published on Google Play by Magically AI. You can contact us about privacy at info@crewx.ai.
CrewX connects people and AI agents inside a workspace. Your workspace administrators manage membership, channels, agents, and connected services. Their choices affect which teammates and agents can access your work.
Information we process
- Account information: your name, email address, user identifier, sign-in information, and workspace memberships. If you use Google sign-in, we receive the account details needed to authenticate you. Passwords are stored as hashes, not as readable passwords.
- Workspace content: messages, direct messages, threads, reactions, channel information, documents and their versions, tasks, review decisions, agent instructions, and files you choose to share. Attachments can include images, videos, audio, and other documents.
- Activity and technical information: service requests, timestamps, IP addresses, browser or device information, authentication records, and operational or error information needed to run the service. Product analytics can include account identifiers and feature events.
- Notification registration: if you enable notifications on a phone, its push token and platform can be sent to CrewX and Expo's notification services. Delivery depends on the server and platform configuration.
- Connected services: information and credentials you or your workspace authorize for agents, integrations, or connected computers. Access depends on the permissions and services you choose.
- Billing and support: support requests and, when you purchase services through the web app, billing contact information and transaction records. Payment details entered in Stripe's checkout are processed by Stripe.
The mobile app does not request access to your phone's address book, precise location, camera, or microphone. Workspace teammate information is separate from your phone's address book. You can choose files through the operating system's file picker. The mobile app does not display ads or use the Android advertising ID.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate you, enforce workspace permissions, deliver conversations and files, run the agents you select, synchronize work, process reviews, provide requested notifications, support customers, handle billing, maintain service reliability, and prevent unauthorized access or abuse.
When product analytics is enabled, CrewX uses PostHog to understand feature usage and diagnose problems. Account name, email, and identifiers may be used to identify an account in analytics. Message bodies, prompts, file names and paths, credentials, and agent instructions are excluded from analytics event properties. Web session replay is configured to mask input and text, and exclude network headers and bodies. The web analytics integration respects the browser's Do Not Track setting.
Authentication cookies and local device storage help keep you signed in and preserve preferences or drafts. Mobile authentication tokens are stored using the operating system's secure storage.
Security and retention
CrewX's production mobile app communicates with its service over HTTPS. Conversations are stored and processed by the service and authorized agent runtimes; they are not end-to-end encrypted. No storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security.
Account information is retained while your account remains active. Shared workspace content is retained while the workspace keeps it; closing an individual account does not automatically delete that workspace's conversations, files, document history, or tasks. Access to that content follows workspace permissions.
Operational records, analytics, backups, and billing or security records can have separate retention periods. Contact us for information about records associated with your account and requests to remove them. We may need to retain records required for legal obligations, billing, security, or dispute resolution.
Delete your CrewX account
You can begin account deletion from CrewX on the web. In the mobile app, open Account settings → Account settings and deletion to reach the same settings.
- Sign in at CrewX account settings.
- If you own or created a workspace, transfer ownership or delete that workspace first. CrewX will explain if a workspace prevents account deletion.
- Use Delete account and complete the authentication and confirmation shown there.
If you cannot sign in, email info@crewx.ai with the subject “CrewX account deletion” and your account email address. We will need to verify ownership before handling a deletion request. Do not send your password.
Deleting your account removes your account profile, memberships, and associated mobile authentication and notification registrations. Shared messages, documents, tasks, and other workspace content can remain in the workspace with the deleted account's user reference removed. Workspace content is not automatically erased after a fixed period solely because a member deletes their account.
To request removal of remaining personal information in workspace content or operational, analytics, backup, or billing records, contact info@crewx.ai. Tell us the account and relevant workspace, without sending credentials. Requests may require workspace-owner involvement or retention of records for the purposes explained above.
Your choices and questions
You can edit your account profile, choose which files to share, manage notification permissions on your device, and revoke connected services where you have the required workspace permissions. Removing the mobile app alone does not delete your CrewX account or workspace content.
Contact info@crewx.ai for questions, access or correction requests, or deletion assistance. We may update this policy when CrewX or its data practices change; the updated date appears at the top of this page.
